But I think you missed value on the River, I would have bet half the pot to get a weaker King hand to call.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586054768001045666.post-9887658499114154492010-02-02T15:18:51.816+00:002010-02-02T15:18:51.816+00:00Nice post,

I have no problem 3 betting it to isolate a bad player. Though in your example the player with K9 is probably so stupid that he might pay off regardless. He seems oddly commited to making a play with the K9.

-bagbaglifehttp://baglifepoker.squarespace.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586054768001045666.post-73051083388825161362010-01-22T15:09:12.049+00:002010-01-22T15:09:12.049+00:00Great post. Cloutier calls that hand "Walkin' back to Houston," because he went broke with it so many times in the early days in Dallas card rooms!Ernesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14889650892459436278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586054768001045666.post-32540750874758849552010-01-22T13:30:14.769+00:002010-01-22T13:30:14.769+00:00Yep: AK is a drawing handYep: AK is a drawing handConan776https://www.blogger.com/profile/00017422999431387978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586054768001045666.post-46522204621620977842010-01-22T11:24:42.937+00:002010-01-22T11:24:42.937+00:00Good post. He has a lowish steal so I think we can assign him a slightly stronger range - as the hand shows we can often dominate his made hands with AK. I think we have to be alert to the rare times he has a stronger hand i.e. AA/KK and an A or K lands on the flop. Early in a session when you have no reads then I expect its correct to 3 bet to deter future steals and fold the blinds.James P McAteerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18373905029722211075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586054768001045666.post-26015050461544600922010-01-21T23:43:24.831+00:002010-01-21T23:43:24.831+00:00Nice post mateNice post matePeter Kilpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00203345964718712938noreply@blogger.com
